Here’s the “Who Does What” for the 1st Japan Club Meet!

Prez Melanie: • Shinto Creation story (email us the story… we might be able to make a skit out of it. You can start writing the script :D) … should we do that the first meeting? If no, Melanie, would you like to do one of the other jobs or something new? Just email us, kay? ^^
P.S. I can't seem to cantact prez Melanie... the email says "One of the recipients can't be resolved." If someone else could contact her about her duty for Wednesday, just so she has preparation time, I would verry much appreciate it!

Hey everyone, PRO2 here! The club officers had a meeting yesterday (September 24, 2008) at lunch, which was recorded. But since Youtube was doing their scheduled maintenance, I was not able to upload the videos!! ^^'' The three parts (yeah, it was that long, 10 minutes each!!) well be uploaded and embedded probably by tonight or tomorrow night.
In other news, we officers also had a meeting today (September 25, 2008)!!! This was also recorded, but there are only two parts this time.
TO THE OFFICERS: We will be having a meeting tomorrow, Friday (September 26, 2008), at lunch. We will also be having meetings on Monday and Tuesday to finalize things for the official first meeting on Wednesday. *Please note, Clair will be e-mailing everyone with the things we need to do and it will also be posted here. If you cannot come to a meeting on a certain day, please notify any of the officers to ensure that you also receive the information of that day's meeting.
As you all know, or hope you know, Japan Club starts meeting next week on Wednesday! We need to make this first meeting exciting and fun so that the however many people that initially signed up will stay in the club, so bring in ideas that we could possibly do. We'll meet on Wednesday, but this meeting may or may not be very long, so I'm not sure if we should make it a two-day meeting. Probably not, but just to make sure, right? Also we probably should have it in a room, unless Ms. Huang wants to sit on the floor in Donnely. We should let her know, right? She is our wonderful moderator-sensei. So, yeah, e-mail me back if this sounds cool. Unless, of course, we're not prepared for this.

Hey everyone, PROfficer2 (PRO2) Stephanie here to show you the AWESOME meeting that the officers had (minus Sherie, who had to go to a cross country meeting) during lunch.

Anyways, Club Fair was today, Thursday, September 18, 2008!! I forgot to take pictures though..... *sigh* I'll remember next time!! />O<\ But here's some nifty info: 44 people signed up!! HUZZAHHHHH~ (Much better than the robotics team that I'm also a part of, who only got 19 people *ganbare!*)

TRIVIA!! 1) Why did you join Japan Club? ‘cuz I felt like it… hahahah, it’s also because I’m drawn to foreign cultures as I rather dislike my own (the USA – yuck, not fun at all). Japan is so rich in culture and history, plus it’s got an awesome pop culture, in style, music, and entertainment! Japanese culture became one of my loves ^w^ plus, everything is soooo cute~<3

Spanish because I'm already learning it and I can talk to people who are fluent really fast so it sounds cool. Tagalog because that's my native tongue! All I have to do is relearn it from my family! Italian maybe, but it's close to Spanish.
